Child Protection & Ending Child Marriage · बाल संरक्षण तथा बालविवाह अन्त्य
Child marriage is illegal in Nepal, yet it is still common in parts of Madhesh. Laws alone do not change a family decision; trusted conversations do.
We help wards form child-protection committees, run kishori (adolescent girls’) clubs where girls learn about their rights and their bodies, and hold dialogues with fathers, mothers-in-law and religious leaders. When a marriage is planned, the committee and our staff sit with the family — and the girl — before it is too late.
Restricted giving is welcome — tell us the ward or programme and we will report back on it specifically.
